DRAGON BOAT RACES

Dragon Boat Races are the featured event of the Dragon on the Lake festival where teams compete for the title of Dragon Boat Champions!

This year's race will take place on Sunday, August 24 at Green's Park.

Registration is now open for the 2025 race! 

The registration fee is $1200 when registered and paid by May 1, 2025 and $1300 after May 1, 2025.

To register, please fill out BOTH the form below and pay the registration fee.

• The race is 300 meters long and takes 2-3 minutes to complete
• Each team is guaranteed at least 3 races
• Each team will include 20 paddlers, 1 drummer and 1 steerer (steerer is provided by Great White North). At least 8 team members must be women.
• Dragon boats, paddles and life jackets are provided.
• Paddlers must be a minimum of 14 years old.
• There will be an optional open practice on Saturday, August 23 in the morning.
• Teams are able to set-up a 10x10 tent in Green's Park for food and beverages (no alcohol allowed!)
• Waivers must be signed by all participants.
• Cost per team is $1200

The 2024 Dragon Boat Races featured 14 teams vying for the title of Dragon Boat Champion!

For the second year in a row, Team OMG...On a Mission From God took home first place! 2nd place went to Flossed at Sea with Dragon Down Breast Cancer rounding out the top 3. For a 5th time, Jesse Greene, the drummer of Dragon Down Parkinsons took the Best Drummer award!
