DRAGON BOAT RACES
About the Race
Dragon Boat Races are the featured event of the Dragon on the Lake festival where teams compete for the title of Dragon Boat Champions!
This year's race will take place on Sunday, August 30 at Green's Park.

Registration is now open for the 2026 race!
The registration fee is $1200.

Details
- The race is 300 meters long and takes 2-3 minutes to complete
- Each team is guaranteed at least 3 races
- Each team will include 14 - 20 paddlers, 1 drummer and 1 steerer (steerer is provided by Great White North).
- Dragon boats, paddles and life jackets are provided.
- Paddlers must be a minimum of 14 years old.
- There will be an optional open practice on Saturday, August 29 in the morning.
- Teams are able to set-up a 10x10 tent in Green's Park for food and beverages (no alcohol allowed!)
- Waivers must be signed by all participants.
- Cost per team is $1200
